Youth Initiatives (YINI) is a faith-based youth organisation with over 30+ years of experience combining youth ministry and social impact through community outreach. With six established youth community hubs and a strong regional network, YI has supported over 40 youth and community organisations across Northern Ireland in areas such as governance, quality assurance, and infrastructure development. Since becoming a Regional Voluntary Youth Work Organisation in 2014, YI has been committed to equipping others to make a lasting impact.
We are now seeking a passionate and skilled Capacity Development Officer (CDO) to join our Regional Team and lead the Equipping for Impact programme as part of the Dormant Assets ‘Access to Resilience’ Project.
The CDO will play a key role in building the capacity and sustainability of 12 small faith-based charities over three years. Each year, the role involves supporting three new organisations to connect with YI’s regional network and organisational support structures, while also working intensively with one existing network charity through a focused development year. Using YI’s proven approach to equipping ministries for social impact, the CDO will deliver tailored support, facilitate learning and growth, and strengthen the reach and resilience of the faith-based youth sector in Northern Ireland.
We are looking for someone with extensive experience in youth and community work, a heart for ministry, and the skills to support leadership development and organisational growth. Join us in making a lasting difference in faith-based communities.
