Aim of Training: To raise awareness of the potential impact of ACEs on individuals and communities. ***This training is accredited by the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland and not Ofqual Regulated through Qualsafe.***

To keep a focus on the importance of Safeguarding during these uncertain times, CADA NI is hosting two Safeguarding webinars for our members and other INGOs with a base in Northern Ireland. The sessions will be Northern Ireland specific, with input from the Charity Commission for NI.

Some organisations will also have Appointed Persons, with delegated responsibility for day to day adult safeguarding operations.

This is a basic awareness course for those working with children, young people and adults at risk. This half day course covers: legal and policy context of safeguarding; what abuse is and who abuses; reporting concerns; and code of behaviour for staff and volunteers.

Keeping Children Safe: Designated Officer Training This one day certificated training is suitable for Designated and Deputy Designated Officers. This session will provide training to assist and support them in carrying out their role and responsibilities.

This event is hosted by the Photography Ethics Centre as part of One World Festival 2019.

This course is for those working internationally and is based on the findings of our recent research into international Christian work. It will help you to understand your safeguarding responsibilities and improve safeguarding practice in your own context. It covers the safer recruitment processes, decision making, and developing safer cultures. The aim of this course is to understand the need for Safer Recruitment through the recruitment process.

This webinar will explore the issue of spiritual abuse in the Church and Christian organisations. It will look at how to respond well, the importance of policy and procedure and the characteristics of a healthy Christian culture.
